Welcome to golflife12.com ("GL12"). I'm ybp, a self-taught, budget-minded weekend golfer, and this blog is where I share golf news, gear thoughts, budget golf ideas, course reviews, and the tips that have helped (or humbled) me on the course. Please read this page so you know how to use what you find here.
1. Affiliate Links and Advertising
Some posts on golflife12.com may contain affiliate links. If you click one of those links and buy something, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When a post includes affiliate links, I'll say so in that post, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) guidelines on endorsements.
This site also shows ads served by Google AdSense. I don't choose the individual ads you see, and an ad appearing here doesn't mean I recommend that product or company.
Affiliate commissions and ads never decide what I write. I don't accept payment for positive reviews. If I ever receive a free product or a paid partnership, I'll clearly disclose it in the post.
2. Product Prices and Reviews
- Prices change. Any price, discount, or "deal" I mention was accurate to the best of my knowledge when I wrote the post. Golf gear prices, especially used-club prices, move fast. Always check the current price and availability with the retailer before you buy.
- Reviews are my independent opinions. My gear posts reflect my own view as a mid-handicapper, not the view of any brand or retailer.
- I haven't tested everything I write about. Some posts cover new product announcements or press releases. When I haven't hit a club or used a product myself, I'll say so. Please don't treat a news post as a hands-on review.
3. Personal Experience, Not Professional Instruction
I'm a self-taught amateur golfer, not a PGA professional, certified club fitter, or coach. The tips, swing thoughts, and strategy ideas on this blog come from my own rounds, practice, and reading. What works for my game may not work for yours. For personal swing instruction or club fitting, please see a qualified PGA professional or certified fitter.
4. Health, Injury, and Safety
Golf is a physical activity. Swinging a club, practicing for long sessions, walking a course, and playing in heat, cold, or wind all carry some risk of injury. Before you change your swing, start a new practice or fitness routine, or play in extreme weather, consult a qualified professional, such as a PGA instructor, physical therapist, or doctor, especially if you have an existing injury or health condition.
Also follow course safety rules, watch out for other golfers, and be careful around water hazards and wildlife. Any drill, exercise, or tip you try from this site is at your own risk.
5. No Guarantees
I try to keep every post accurate and up to date, but I can't guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Golf news changes quickly, and course conditions, rates, and policies can change without notice. I also can't promise that any tip or product will lower your score. If you spot a mistake, please let me know through the Contact page and I'll take a look.
6. External Links
Posts often link to news sources, golf courses, manufacturers, retailers, and other websites. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, or products. Visiting a linked site is at your own discretion.
